Job Description:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. This role requires a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist individuals with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support and Encouragement: Encourage individuals to participate in social and recreational activities, promoting independence and well-being.
- Healthcare Assistance: Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals and monitor health conditions.
- Household Tasks: Perform light household duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate care is provided.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in a care setting is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- A compassionate and patient approach to providing care.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for certain roles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed.
